#ChairsOfHope & #TulongEskwela

Attending classes under a tree is not as fun or comfortable as it sounds—and some students at Lucban Elementary School (the farthest DepEd school in Mansalay, Or. Mindoro) are finding this out the hard way even more without chairs and study tables.

According to the DepEd, public schools are in need of chairs. In effect, students are not able to maximize their learning given the classroom conditions. Through #ChairsOfHope & #TulongEskwela, KHA aims to provide students with school chairs and school repairs/improvement activities to attain the best environment, conducive to learning. With sustained efforts, we hope to ignite communities to help each other in improving school conditions so that they may leave a positive impact on the quality of education, paving the way for a better future.

One of the teachers says, "Despite the challenges and hardships, we want to see these children happy and educated. That brings us fulfillment.”
